Hooray! Back to School!!!

On April 25, 2023, in Dushanbe, at the Rumi Hotel, informational sessions began as part of the School of Gender Activists (advanced course), previously organized by UN Women, the national partner Public Organization “Gender and Development”, with the support of the Committee on Women and Family Affairs under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, within the framework of the Spotlight Initiative in Tajikistan — a joint initiative of the EU and the UN to eliminate violence against women and girls.

On April 26, the School of Gender Activists, created for civil society representatives, continued its work with a session dedicated to one of the most important topics:
“Gender-Responsive Budgeting (GRB): Concepts, Principles, and Goals.”

The training was conducted by national gender experts and focused on current priorities in promoting gender-responsive budgeting. It is expected that the knowledge and skills acquired during the training will be applied by SGA participants in their practical work at the community level, contributing to the integration of GRB elements into local planning processes.
