The Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) programme, established by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), announced an Award for Advancing Gender Equality 2023. It is open for nominations from August 1 to September 15 2023. The award will be given to women, men and organizations with demonstrated commitment and active role in promoting gender equality, equal rights and opportunities in the workplace and communities. Individual women and men must be resident nationals of a CAREC member country, and organizations must be operating in at least one of the CAREC member countries (Azerbaijan, People’s Republic of China, Georgia, Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Mongolia, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan).
Awardees will be invited to attend the CAREC Women’s Business Forum in Georgia in November 2023, and get a chance to strengthen their skills through knowledge exchange, networking opportunities, and leadership training, among other benefits.
