On December 11, another youth debate took place in Dushanbe, bringing together over 40 participants from various youth organizations. The main focus of the event was on social issues related to equality, social justice, and overcoming gender stereotypes.
During the debates, participants explored a wide range of topics, including gender discrimination, women’s rights, and the impact of entrenched traditions on societal development. Special attention was given to the role of social norms in everyday life, as well as the need for changes in the systems of upbringing and education. Participants emphasized the importance of implementing policies that foster inclusion and equality.
The event was organized by the Public Organization “Gender and Development” within the framework of a project implemented by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) with financial support from the UK government. It should be noted that the views expressed during the event or in project publications do not necessarily reflect the official position of the UK Government or UNFPA.
