Dear young women lawyers,
The public organization Center for Human Rights invites young women lawyers to participate in the Fellowship Program aimed at intensive training and gaining professional experience to develop women’s legal skills in Tajikistan.
The Fellowship is a type of program that provides selected participants (fellows) with the opportunity to learn from experienced lawyers and practice their profession, thereby fostering their professional growth. Unlike internship programs, fellows are also expected to contribute to the development of recommendations based on their practical experience, promoting societal change.
This is the first structured program in Tajikistan aimed at systematically strengthening the legal competencies and self-confidence of a new generation of women lawyers who will be able to realize their potential in the public, private, non-profit, and academic sectors.
Throughout the 8-month program, fellows will:
- Work under the mentorship of experienced lawyers and advocates within civil society organizations (CSOs) across the country,
- Receive intensive mentoring and training on the provision of quality legal assistance to women,
- Provide general support in the delivery of legal aid and human rights advocacy carried out by CSOs,
- Contribute to research based on their hands-on experience with the aim of developing evidence-based recommendations.
This program is implemented with the support of the UNDP Tajikistan Project “Support for Women in the Field of Jurisprudence”, financed by the UNDP “Gender Justice Platform”.
Participation in the program will allow you to:
- Gain knowledge in family, civil, housing, criminal, and other areas of law;
- Acquire practical experience in drafting legal documents (applications, complaints, motions, etc.);
- Develop skills in oral and written legal counseling, and participation in court hearings;
- Contribute to data collection on the legal needs of vulnerable women;
- Take part in evidence-based advocacy at national round tables on rule of law.
Eligibility criteria:

- Age between 26 and 30;
- Minimum of 2 years of professional legal experience after graduation.
