On August 12, 2025, a one-day training for lawyers was held in Dushanbe, attended by 25 legal professionals.
The event provided a platform for sharing experience and deepening knowledge on applying national and international human rights standards in protecting victims of torture and ill-treatment. Participants discussed current challenges in legal practice, enhanced their skills in handling related cases, and received tools for more effective legal representation.
Special attention was given to developing practical skills and improving the quality of legal assistance. Such trainings contribute to establishing a unified approach to human rights protection and strengthening the role of the legal profession in building the rule of law.
The program included presentations, group work, discussions of real cases, and joint solution development.
Organizers: the training was held under the project “Path to Justice: Strengthening Human Rights through the Prevention of Torture and Reform of the Penitentiary System,” funded by the European Union.
